Need some advice
My son is a wolf and came in first overall at the Pack race. We just had our district race and he came in 1st place for the Wolfs. Now he is off to the Council race. Our concern is he came in second overall at the district race. He ran and average of 3.0076 and the first place car which was a bear r...

Adding Lube
When is a good time to lube the axels of the car before the race? We are using Krytox. Is is best to lube the day before or a few days before? Is there any possible problem with the Krytox evaporating?

Re: Illeagl wheels & axles
I would be very upset if some took my sons car apart after he had run. And it is not because we are doing anything illegal. It is because sometimes we spend hours getting the alignment just right and then glue in the axles. That would mean we would have to do it all over again to get ready for the d...

Weight placement question
I have a question about the weight placement in a car. For simplicity purposes say I have a car were the body weighes 1 ounce so I need to add 4 ounces to it. If I want to get the COM 1 inch in front of the rear axel, is it better to put 1 ounce in the front of the car and 3 ounces in the rear of th...

Re: Money race
Our district does this each year to raise money for the scouts. We have a Corporate PWD and this will be our second year of running it. They have different packages starting at 1 car kit for $160 up to 8 car kits for $1000. The rules are the same aas the scouts. The event is held at a local Holiday ...

Re: Do you glue your axles?
We drill a small hole from the bottom of the car body that intersects the axle hole. We do this also. We glue the axles because I am afraid of the wheel getting bumped and then the alignment is ruined. The alignment is so critical. This year we wanted to use a glue that we can still get the axles o...

Re: Lap (Heat) times on a 49ft BestTrack..
Then what is the advantage of using the laser Starter? Why not just use the regular starter? It starts as soon as the gate is dropped. Basically because the laser gate came with the timer package we bought and it looks cool. The scouts love it and think it is awesome. Plus I feel it is more reliabl...

Re: Lap (Heat) times on a 49ft BestTrack..
I configured our laser get to get triggered by the starting pins. This way the timer starts as soon as the gate is dropped just like the switch plus all cars are at the same point once the timer starts.

Re: HELP! Race tomorrow!!!
It was fun but I hate being the leader and having the parents walk away thinking I somehow rig the race. they should be more mad at the father who didn't want to build another car and took home another 3rd place trophy. I know how it is getting those looks like you did something wrong. I have run o...

blcrow33- 3.09 on 42ft Best Track? Wow, thats fast. My son averaged 3.152 on our 42ft Best and he won the Pack overall, no one came close. But we have had problems with our Best Track since we bought it, its hard to get the pieces to fit together properly and our cars bounce while going down the tr...

We have a 42 foot Best Track with the lift kits. We have no problems and it does not move. The crowd loves it because everyone can see it much better.

My son just won our Pack race and we have a 42 foot Best Track. He averaged 3.09 seconds. Sounds like your sons times are consistent with winning times.
