I was inspired by Racer X. I always loved the cartoon Speedracer as a kid. I used to pretend that I was Speed. My bed was Speed's car, the Mach 1. I chose spelling it with out the E, because I figured some one else already had it. PWD brings me back to being a kid again.

That's an easy one. The Mach 5 of course. My car that ran in the adult race was called Mach 5. It was a rail car. Other than being white and having a M5 on it, no resemblance. Maybe next year, I'll try make it more like the original.

We just run the track directly on the ground and do not suspend. Is the floor too rough to just run directly on the floor? With the track suspended in the air it must be tough for the scouts to get up high enough to start their cars. Maybe part of the derby is for the kids to be able to sucessfully...

Yikes if any of those cars get fast enough to take a dive off the end of that stop section :shock: Even with a Best Track stop section, I have seen cars go off the end. Please consider ideas to resolve that problem and as a minimum add to your check-in procedure a requirement that a car must travel from the start and cross the finish line before being accepted.
