I agree that when the pin rotates forward most of the advantage to the quick start bar is lost if the gate is spring loaded. However, if the gate is manually operated or even if the gate is just allowed to fall, you will still have some degree of advantage when using the bar because the pin will be ...

Would you be willing to comment on the effectiveness of the quick start mod? I saw that and it really appealed to my own creative instincts. If you read above, it is suggested that the Quick Start helps only when a manually operated start gate is released slowly. I have not installed one, let alone...
