How do you stamp an axle? Would the stamp leave an impregnated mark into the axle head? If so, how do you do that without affecting current shape and quality of the axle, also how do you get to them since the boxes are sealed? We just ran our derby last weekend and a few cars showed up with the graphite pads. I almost rejected them, because a few of them didn't stick very well and looked like a washer (that is how I caught them). I went ahead and allowed them since they are new and not specifically addressed in our rules....

We just ran our derby last weekend and got a chance to compare grooved axles against standard polishing. We even bought some pre-prepped axles and ran them in our unlimited class. I am going to try stamping the ends of the axles in the kits. Sounds a bit tedious, but I think it can be done. I was going to use 4 different 1 letter stamps (P346) so each car would have one of each...which stands for Pack 346. I'm also going to try and stamp the wheels or perhaps "brand"...

One of the best ways is to stamp the bottom of all the blocks in the derby kit with your pack number, then if someone screws up a block and needs another one, they simply have to come to ask the pack leader. Rules should state the stamp needs to be visible at time of check in. what do you guys thin...
