Re: 42 Foot Track For Sale

Thanks Randy... I do see the issues with running an Edge Guide Track vs. Center. My personal interest in a new Track is due to the Pack/District using the same old Formica Covered track used for the past 30+ years. I am, like others in my area, hoping for some progress with a new track. The #2 issue...

Re: Off to District

JOMO, Again, nice car for 09. We're in the NT District and race on Old Blue, or as it's called around here, "Old Bumpy". Did your cars run smooth this year? I know the track owner replaced one or more of the sections before Districts last year -- just wondering if he has done more for this...

Re: "Old Bumpy" wooden track questions...

It's been about $200 for the past five years. He also includes Trophies & Ribbons, has his own PA System, but no other "thrills" like Electronic Timing, Crowd Viewable scoring or anything like others here discuss. But the worst thing (in addition to the track) is that he has always run...

Re: "Old Bumpy" wooden track questions...

Good thoughts...thanks. Our Pack is also using the same Track, so the issue has gone mute really... meaning The Track owner has been the single source supplier for over 30 years. I don't know of any other Tracks owned or Rented by anyone in the District. I think THAT'S really the question I wanted a...

"Old Bumpy" wooden track questions...

 I'm sure this subject has been discussed, but I was wondering how many Packs/Dens have dealt with the Tradition Factor of using the same old and bumpy track that has been around for 30+ years! (true). Our District Race is hosted by a Pack that continues to want to use the hired gun (who does ...

Re: District Race Ready or not

CM924, Where are the pics? My boys also have to race on the blue & yellow track. It seems that every year lane three or lane two is the lucky lane to draw. I was heavily involved this year for our Pack race and tried very hard to ensure each Scout had fun building and racing his car. We had the ...
