Re: Glycerin/soap Soaked Rubber Bands? Not so sure.

My pack has always soaked new rubber bands in that soap mix. We wind to 100 turns. Never tried dry.

How many wind ups are you doing?

Re: Rocket winders

I think I will make another winder and sell this one. I have an idea for a 4 rocket version. 1 belt. :D Next year the track will be all electronically timed. Here is the finish line box. similar to the car box I made. Just need to order another kit. http://nissannut.com/space_derby/finish_line.JPG I...

Timing ideas

How do you use the timing system at the finish line?

I guess I need to mount the Transistors horizontally instead of vertical.

Anyone have pix of there setup?

We have the Fasttrack 4 lane system.

Thanks,

Re: Can someone PLEASE send me the plans to the Binder Winde

I have plans for a 2-up winder similar to the binder winder and easy to build. We built 2 of these and they work great. Counters are resettable. 2 rockets wind in about 7-10 seconds depending on drill speed and number of turns. Cost to build each unit was about $80. You will need a drill press but ...

Rocket winders

Is there any off the shelf winders besides the $5 battery powered single unit?

I am looking 3 at a time winder.

Thanks.
