So I figured something out about the other car. I am in charge of registering our Packs cars for the Districts. I was re-graphiting the cars this past weekend when i figured out was "wrong" with the winning car. The wheels were lathed on the inside- which is illegal in our pack/district ru...

Wow! Really? I was following the Max V book! LOL OK. I will keep this in mind for next year. Is there a happy medium for when the car goes to districts? It is a considerably longer track.

Our weight is 5.0 with the center of balance 1-1/4" in front of the rear axles with an extended wheel base. No camber. All 4 wheels must touch.

Ok- I'm trying to figure this out. Just know that they did not run head to head. Our Pack doesn't do that and it drives me nuts! They only run Den competitions. Since everything is computerized- they base standings off the run times. The Packs in our district are limited to 6 entries. The winner of ...

PBT- That's what i thought and I asked him- "What were you guys running, a Rail Rider?" And he said "What's that?" So I explained it to him and he said "Wouldn't that make it slower?" LOL

Hmmmm. It's a 25 ft. wood track for the Pack. The district uses a longer track. The car is a straight rider. Axles polished to 2000 grit with a final polish of jewler's rouge. No camber (I don't have the tools.)

I don't know what else to share really?

My son had his race on Saturday he won his Den and came in second in the Pack. He was pulling 1.8's constantly. The car that beat him was pulling 1.6's. I don't get it! I inspected the car over and over and over and I couldn't figure it out. I talked to the Dad and he said they did nothing special! ...

Due to impending blizzard... What a let down...

This has been bothering me. Something "just wasn't right", so last night I did a new set of wheels. There is definitely less play between the wheel and the axle and tonight I will get everything adjusted.
