Re: Where did I go wrong?

The alignment looks to be pretty far out of whack. The rear camber appears to be much, much, much more than 2 degrees, and the rears appear to be toed-in (could be the camera angle). As a point of reference, if you are "filling and drilling", 2 degrees across 1.75 inches is approximately 0...

Re: Building a new car for district

I second the notion of entering both cars in the proxy race. You certainly don't want to show up at the District race with a slower car than the car which won the pack race.

Re: New Pack Build Rules.

I have heard this sentiment (build all the cars during pack "build days" proposed as well) within our Pack. I will do whatever I can to make sure that it doesn't happen. Such proposals are usually put forward by parents who don't want to invest the time and effort to spend time with their ...

Re: lighter thinned wheels for districts??

j.m.

Can you post your District's rules? That should tell you whether your proposed wheel modification is legal or not.

Re: supercapacitor powered car

3/32" (0.0937) axles are VERY common for scratch-built slot cars. There are tons of wheels, axles, bearings, bushings, and every thinkable gearset available in that size, which is a pretty close match for PWD scale cars.

Re: supercapacitor powered car

Regarding gears, look to the slot car world. They have ready-to run motors, gears, axles, bearings, wheels and tires, etc. You would be looking for either 1/32nd scale, or more likely 1/24th scale slot car stuff. Professor Motor is one of the premier sites for slot car stuff, from ready to run cars ...

Re: GPRM 10 - Logistics on best way to running the race

MT Pockets - I think the more "conventional" way to set up such a race would be to create an entire data file for the Pack XXX, with the Groups being identified as "Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos, etc". Then, typically, the sub-groups would be for different Dens within each group...

I think the issue is that my "Reports" screen will not open.

Can't figure out how to print Rosters/Schedules in GPRM

For the first time, I'm trying to print rosters and race schedules through GPRM version 10. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to print these rosters and schedules. It seems that I must have something configured incorrectly, as I can't even find a "Print" option anywhere. The &quo...

Re: supercapacitor powered car

Check out some 1/24th scale slot car wheels and tires. Some of them use silicone covered foam rubber tires. Very grippy.

Re: Any Test Tracks in the St Louis area?

Nope. I do have possession of the local Girl Scout troop's 6 lane Freedom track, but I didn't think it was ethical to set that up for the sole purpose of helping my son tune in his PWD car.

Re: Is there a cost to victory? You bet!

In our Pack, once the Cub submits the car for inspection, he never touches the car again until all the racing is complete. We have an adult place all the cars on the gate, another adult shuttles the cars from the finish line back to the "staging table", and a third adult gets the cars stag...
