Re: "World's Largest PWD Track" coming to town

Quaddad, where did you see video's of the races? The Milwaukee Wave (along with others) had a booth at our Council's Scout Festival last weekend. They ran an endless-loop tape (DVD I assume) of the racing in their booth. Very nice representative there was interested in the Scout community opinion f...

Re: Today's Council Race

Thanks for the congratulations. For Districts It had to be 4 wheels touching. So the District car was a 4 wheel railrider. all axles were straight except the DFW had a 1.5 degree bend with a com of 5/8. For the Council we modified a car that we built for pack races this year. It was a three wheel ra...

Today's Council Race

I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for the great posts and help, especially Sporty. After coming in overall 6th or 7th at districts we had some work to do for council. We ended up modifying a car we had already built and ended up winning the council race by .0001 of a second. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Re: "World's Largest PWD Track" coming to town

The Track at the Milwaukee Wave had very little problems with cars coming off the end of the track. There might have been 4 or 5 cars out of around 100. I believe all of them were modified cars and the two motorized cars. As far as car set-up. We used my son's car from the pack PWD. One raised wheel...

New car for council race

After reading a post on here, I am considering building a rail rider with positive camber on the DFW and negative camber on the rears. Would this present any problems?

Re: Need help understanding an annomaly

I have the rules, but there are some area's that are vague. I am trying to find out more before we do too much. I also volunteered to work the technical inspections, that way I will knw exactly what is required.

Re: Need help understanding an annomaly

I was guessing that it was timer, because most scout cars ran 2.4 to 2.55. But there was a heat or two that cars ran in the 2.35 range. It just seemed odd and random.

Re: Need help understanding an annomaly

The staging was done by a person who was very meticulous. He individually set each and every car. I don't think that was the case.

Need help understanding an annomaly

Just finished District races yesterday and experienced a similar anomaly with two different cars. On the scout car (4 wheels touching, 4.96 oz 5/8 com) we ran in 6 heats and the times were 2.514, 2.503, 2.503, 2.503, 2.322, 2.504 and with an outlaw car (razor wheels four wheels touching, 7.14 oz, 5/...
