my son wants to build a truck this year. looking at designs it looks like having the wheels closer to the front looks much better with a truck. but we have allways built cars the other way I believe this was for stability. is there something that can be done we have had a bit of a wobble the last fe...

Re: Is My Car Fast? Time Distributions and Percentiles
this was our first year with the best track 42'. i set it up and leveled it and this is where you can get discrepancies. when i was levelling the track i ended up putting some 1/2" plywood under the the first two sets of feet (levelers) becouse i started at the finish line witch was the high sp...

Re: Auto Carrier ideas?
we started a big rig kit this year with the boys. but never finished it it comes with a in a cardboard box and you use the box for the trailor. i was thinking of making a flat bed or like a large ramp truck but it would probably only fit one car maybe two at the most. i can't seem to see the pics of...

Re: another pack win
i checked the com again. my car was 5/8 with the weight low in the car tungsten plates and some poured lead. my sons was 3/4 he used tungsten rounds drilled into the side of the car. i would say my com was lower than his by at least an 1/8 but that is just where the weight was placed. ill have to se...

Re: another pack win
I was happy he decided to finish the car and race it.
i was supprised it was faster than mine.
his best time was 3.0475 on a 42' best track.
i think my com was less than his.
maybe that is why his car was more stable.

Re: I'm not haveing any axel polishing issues tonight.
not sure if i get it.
first you say stock bsa rite out of the box.
then you say you removed the crimp marks.
and the pics are slightly a blurr.
either way i would still polish to 12000 grit at least.
and the same for the bores.
either way good luck.

Re: Car painted. Cant the non-DFW wheel?
i was worried about this this year. what i did was just before allignment i sprinkled some graphite around the axle hole neatly and used a spare (junk) wheel to press it into the body leaving a small area for the hub to rub on if contact was made. after the wheels where on you could hardly see it. i...
