I emailed the site and got a very quick response. Swanberg Technologies. the unit looks good and the p;rice is right. Plan to order one in the AM.
I also emailed them a second time with a specific question and received an response,.

Cheap/Inexpensive timing circuit?

Plan to build a short (20 ft) test track. Any plans/schematics out there for an inexpensive timing circuit just to check the elapsed time.?

Actually......if I use an air powered drill and it is only using the air stored up in an 80 gallon tank.(and I take care not to let the compressor start up during the process)..this would seem to be within the rules. By the way......I think I figured out a way to hook up a treadle sewing machine foo...
