Re: Indiana Jones and the Derby Challenge

The paint we used is Krylon "Make it stone texture paint". Shake for about 10 seconds, and then spray on like a normal spray paint. It splatters a bit more than regular spray paint, but took my son very few passes to cover the car. Dries in about 30 minutes. We applied two coats. I then go...

Indiana Jones and the Derby Challenge

My son wanted to do this Indiana Jones theme. He wanted to simulate the cave scene in the first Raiders of the Lost ark. Some things we did to this car which made it unique was add wheel wells which were formed as cave stalagmites to run up the sides of the car and used a textured paint to give the ...

Re: New York Jet Paint Job

The decals are just jpgs I pulled from internet and downsized in photoshop. Printed on laser printer on white paper. Cut with razor blade. We used glossy mod podge to apply, and then hit with some gloss lacquer as overcoat. Good luck to the Steelers... I'll still root for AFC.

Luigi Wild Wing Racer from Mario Kart

My son and I built this racer for our Pinewood derby race last week which we are very proud of. It's the Luigi Mario Kart wild wing racer. I've included a couple photos of our creation. It was our first racer, and we made plenty of mistakes along the way. However, we were happy with our final result...

Re: Mario Kart Wild Wing & a Hungry Hippo

I love your wildwing. I wish I had discovered your site before we started. You are obviously a skilled craftsman. My son and I also did our version of a wildwing, and I thought I'd share it with you. We put in a lot of hours. Attached are a few photos we did of our Luigi Wildwing: http://www.angelfi...
