Good Luck! We have our final race next Saturday at districts. Last chance to win overall champion, we have won rank just not the Grand championship.

Black Friday sales?
Does anyone know of any PWD black Friday sales? Any vendor? I need blocks and wheels, maybe fenders.

Re: Mid America results.
We were middle of the pack with the graphite cars. 2nd in Bears oil, and 6th overall. Got to meet some guys in person. Knotthead was there, he had some fast cars. Oil was a pretty tough division. Graphite with 90+ cars was real tough. NOSKILLS- I took some pictures of your cars if you want them. Jus...

Re: Mid America Builds Almost Finished
Add another Bear here, my sons will be racing oil and graphite, I also have a Webelo racing. Our graphite cars are running 2 gram wheels. The bear is running 1 gram oil and the Webelo is running 1.3 gram oil. Trying a new prep, hope it's fast! Trying a new prep for graphite as well! We didn't do ver...

Cleaning wheels?
Couple questions- 1. What is everyone's preferred way to get all of the wheel bore polish (novus #2,bore polish #1) out of the spokes on the wheels and have shiny, clean looking wheels? 2. When cleaning wheels to re-prep do you use soapy water or rubbing alcohol, and why? I have to admit this is a w...

Re: Pack Champion and runner up!
I use a razor saw and cut over about 1/4th of an inch and then cut up from the bottom. Then the boys can sand it flush with the bottom of the car. I then put clear fingernail polish on the bottom of my fenders to make it stronger and slicker. I cut and make my own fenders on my scroll saw but I use ...

Re: opinions on fenders good or bad
My first car with fenders I did not take away material from the bottom inside area, the car was one of the worst I ever built. It looked great, but was slow. Since learning to do fenders correctly, our times have improved a bit. It just depends how competitive your racing is. We have a couple of ver...

Re: District Results!
That's quite a record for a District race. Which one of your sons car was the fastest? In the Bear race, how much difference between 1st and 2nd place? A pretty big difference between 1st and 2nd, 1st place was overall District champion. About .02 which is quite a bit. They dropped my son's car as ...

Re: Retiring from Pinewood
That is a very inspiring story. I have 8 yr. old triplets and a ten year old. This year we just made one car per kid and even that was a challenge. I am glad my hands are full rather than empty, we have 2 more years of PWD and I will be said when the cross over. You should be very proud of all your ...

Re: Pack Champion and runner up!
Everything is out of the box, orange wheels purchased at Scout shop.
We have to use the slots, so they were epoxied and then I drilled into the epoxy, used the Silver Bullet. Tungsten cubes were the weight. Fenders are balsa. They were graphite cars.

Re: Pack Champion and runner up!
Black car is RETRO and is all my oldest son's imagination and the orange car is CRUSH. The boys picked all colors, and decided if they wanted fenders and so forth. They even used the router (with supervision to make the weight pockets. http://i1352.photobucket.com/albums/q646/DTrickey/Scoutcars20140...
