Re: Length of car past the front wheels
This site is the best, the guys on here know what they are talking about, in any event I bought some Revell axles at hobby lobby, they all were pretty straight on the lathe, (maybe it was dumb luck) but anyways the biggest key in my opinion is alignment, rail riding isnt allowed in my district, but ...

Re: Commodore Perry District race.
The Lions raced at our district, my problem with it is at that age what can the kid really do to help build it? The only thing I could think of was painting it, at that point its pretty much a dads race. Out of all the dens, the Lions looked to have the most "ebay" cars

Re: Commodore Perry District race.
Congrats on the good performance! On to Councils? Why does it seems like every District is having the same problems in getting EVERYONE excited about one of the most important passages of rights in Cub Scouts? It seems like every district is experiencing waning interest in PWD?

Re: Piantadosi=microwizard?
Yeah you are right sir, thats what I love about pwd, everyone has the same edge to a point, no matter what you do. But the knowledge is power. My hope is to get the boys working with their hands, developing good skills. The science is simplistic but beautiful. I feel bad for the parents who skip all...

Re: How to keep eBay cars out of your race
Stamping does nothing when a parent can send in his car to be "tuned" by the pros. In any event, alot of good ideas. Some I will certainly bring up to our District.

Re: Piantadosi=microwizard?
I appreciate the help guys, so my theory is to race the same length as districts. Which (from what I was told is a 35 footer) now the tracks may change from year to year, as I am new but from what I was told is it does not. So my theory is to have the same distance, (35) so I can be in the same ball...

Yes we are planning on going but only the boys racing this year. I myself have plenty to learn yet before I compete with other pineheads.

Re: Piantadosi=microwizard?
I have to be honest, I like that freedom track, in all honesty it keeps the throwback feel to it even though it is aluminum, but I am thinking in a competetive perspective to be aligned with the major competitions, it would be nice to own a best track, decisions, decisions. It doesnt bother me the s...

Re: What is your “real job”?
Sounds like a hard knocks life, 35 ft track and I will have my own little paradise. Maybe I will get a three laner so we can replace our packs old track with something a little mainstream. I promised my wife I wouldnt make PWD my mistress, but I have an itch.

Maybe it would be fair if its on a newer track but those old ones, ive read plenty about track bias.
