I got the tamiya q tips but I thought something harder was needed to burnish with graphite. How has it been working for you

Burnishing wheel bores with graphite
Please share some techniques on how you guys do this. I found a lot of info saying to polish the bore then burnish with graphite but couldn’t find anything saying the best ways to go about this. Thanks in advance

I’m prepping the bore’s with [no advertising for this vendor] black ice polish kit. The tread I’m sanding incrementally up to 3000 grit and then graphite graphite graphite. I have tried them in the past! If your seeing a white haze film on your axles keep polishing them! The cloth will eventually bring back the shine to the axle. Polishing axles with cape cod
I’m just wondering if anyone has tried polishing their axles with cape cod cloths. I have use these clothes to polish different metals in the past and they are amazing but I didn’t know if the polish has a negative affect on speed or will make it harder to graphite the axles. Thanks in advance

I know this is an old post but I’m hoping someone can help me. I came across this while doing research on preppinh wheel bores and I was going to try and order liquid glass but apparently it’s not sold anywhere anymore. What are people using now in place of liquid glass. Thanks in advance
