Re: Derby Magic Test Track
Update. I took a putty knife to the glue that was running over the track from manufacturing with success. Just be careful doing it. I set up 3 cars for the race last Saturday. Youngest son had the best time if the race and the best time on the test track. My car had the second fastest time on the te...

Re: Testing your car on a guided track, when racing on a lane track
Set the cars best I could. Could not get my scouts car to get the best time. No matter what adjustments I tried. My youngest sons car was running good. I threw a car together last night with no paint and it did well, even better than my scouts car. Last year my son took third over all and 1st in his...

Re: Testing your car on a guided track, when racing on a lane track
Going to level my test board as best as possible and try to get these cars to run down the center of the track.
I don't have time to change the back of the cars to allow just the front wheel to touch the side and not the back wheels to do so also.
Will see if my time improve or not on my test track.

Re: Testing your car on a guided track, when racing on a lane track
I am confused why my 3 wheeled car with only one wheel at an angle is out performing my 3 wheeled car with 3 wheels angled. I have my tuning board level but can not seem to get the cars to touch the side of the rail at the end of th 8 foot board. I get can get the cars to go left or right but the va...

I'll do some more tinkering tomorrow. Burned out right now. My son's derby day isn't until the 28th of April.

Re: What is a fast time for a stock car on a 35ft Besttrack??
My kids best car is running 2.62 on a Derby Magic Test Track. 2.401 on a 32 foot track. Converts over to 2.62 on a 35 foot track but that is with zero speed lose.

Re: Testing your car on a guided track, when racing on a lane track
My car as of right now is as follows.
Back /----\
Front. Raised [---/ FEW
But I need to make sure I have the back wheels straight up and not left or right of center. Meaning the bend should be at 12 oclock and not at 11 or 1.

Re: Lanes width for none center guided tracks?
Thank you Vitamin K. Looked on the net and no real answers. I got some supplies to make an 8 foot test board. I'm using half round for the side rails but I'm not sure if they are going to be too tall. I'm going to put a slot in it so that my start gate and timer can be added to this board.

Re: Derby Magic Test Track
The plastic is rigid but the joining pieces have play. You have to make sure they are aligned correctly. My thinking is having the track fixed to some thin wood would fix this issue. Home depot has some thin pieces of cedar that would work perfect. I think you can get a pack of 12 for $24.00. I have...

Derby Magic Test Track
The track is together. 1. Plastic board that is used for the start gate was not drilled correctly. Easily fixed but as someone that uses a Bridgeport there is no excuse for it not lining up. Also had to make clearance for a pin used for the switch. It was catching the board and not letting the start...
