Having a "pin/dowel" protruding below the nose of
the car will cause the car to tumble when it gets
to the stop section.
On an aggressive rail-rider, it can cause the car to
corkscrew into another lane when the wheels drop
away in the stop section.

I won't be able to align it well so should I have a shorter wheel base and COM further forward? What is the ...

Re: Coriolis effect?
Has anyone measured or computed the Coriolis effect on a PWD car's path? Would it be enough to affect one's decision on which wheel to lift? Would the orientation of the track be a factor? Why stop there..... How about: Phases of the Moon Solar flares/wind Feng Shui Stan I hope you have your tongue...

Re: Taking heat for last yrs win.....What to do?
mbb, NO ONE knows your son's abilities better than you. When they are just getting started they NEED more help. As their confidence grows THEY will WANT to do more on their own. I echo PWD's comment to offer to help or hold a workshop. But there will always be comments/jabbs/innuendo.Shame that the ...

Re: RoadRunner Modified
Actually I think this makes a lot more sense. 3/8" of clearance is not necessary on most modern tracks. But I almost still always see the rule. I know WIRL has this rule for all classes. PDDR uses the actual height as their rule which is 1/4" http://www.p-d-d-r.com/images/CenterRail1.jpg ...
