Re: Those Crazy Lazy Hazy Days of Summer

Mr. Ratrodsrule1, This is the most difficult thread I have ever tried to help with. You commented you are lazy which is perfectly fine. That's your choice. However, you then used the word Rejex. The fact that you even know the word Rejex suggests to me you are not lazy. Putting aside the word lazy I...

Re: 2 - Lane 42' Best Track with Timer For Sale

It is a Micro Wizard timer that shows Elapsed times without a computer so I will assume it is a K-3 timer. Cost new is $375 plus shipping. A 42' , 2 lane Best track, cost $555, $107 shipping for a total of $662. $375.00 plus shipping $662.00 includes shipping -------- $1037.00 The K-3 timer new come...

Re: Best Stock Unmolested BSA Axles

I would guess BSA nails Made in China (If you can find any) with the Official BSA sticker on the tube and Maximum Velocity where they used the actual BSA nail before doing a bit of work on them.

Re: Homemade Concentricity Gauge

Did you ever get a BSA wheel bore to go over a pin gage larger then .0965 without intentionally doing something to the bore?

Re: May 2 Coronavirus Sucks Race

Thank You. That will make it easy for everyone. I'm thinking there are thousands of AWANA racers that might have always wondered how they would do against a scout car. I realize the wheel and axle rules are very lenient but it could be lots of funny anyway. Perhaps a lot of the racers have never had...

May 2 Coronavirus Sucks Race

Maximum Velocity is teaming up with the NPWDRL, Derby Evolution and Derby Worx to put on a FREE race for everyone. There will be 2 classes for lube. Choose graphite or oil. Wheels allowed are BSA, Pinecar, Maximum Velocity and AWANA. As Joel says, this is a race for FUN. You can watch your car go do...

Re: Alignment Plank

rrr, you have a special need of requiring 2 different sizes of Pin gages. You need a .0965 for BSA wheels and since you also race in AWANA you will need a gage to test those wheels. Perhaps someone on Derbytalk can help us with the size Pin gage needed. Building the gage mount is going to be very ea...

Re: Homemade Concentricity Gauge

I've read this thread from the beginning, again, and I'd like to add a few things that might be of use to beginners. First, a .0965 Pin gage might improve FS's build for use on BSA wheels whether made in the USA or made in China. China wheels are probably gone forever. If money is no object, Knotty ...

rrr, I think I have the answer for your friend. If he/she will go on Youtube and find "EASY Pinewood derby car WINS using Science", I think the question will be answered. If the question is not answered, Please come back. I'm wondering if the question is actually "How do I win a Pine car race"? The ...

Re: Best All Around CA Glue !!

I invite everyone to read #2. I have always wondered why after a year I would use it and the glue would come out. Now I know. I have stored it laying on its side with no problem but I will now store it sitting straight up. I buy bottle 45198, which is .14 oz, and is the one Walmart sells. So far, no...
