Re: Any drag racers here?
That was a tight race. He will start working on his reaction times. Hurts when you get beat at the light.
Great racing though.

Re: PWD box
I have a tool box that I use for all the Pinewood derby tools. Now I have to go home and clean and organize it so I can take a photo to share.

Re: Besttrack storage box build.
This one also has a lot of room but I wanted the extra room so that I could leave the timer attached and the starting gate fully assembled. I painted it as part of the deal that it could be kept indoors and be part of the decor in the man cave upstairs. It is for personal use and when the track is s...

Besttrack storage box build.
Hope everyone is doing well in the off season. I finally got around to building a storage box for my 42' two lane Besttrack. I used the plans from the Besttrack website and only made some minor modifications. I used 1/2 inch plywood and added some 1x2 pieces on the base for added support when attach...

Playing with the GoPro
I wanted to try out the GoPro camera car that I built in order to use it for tuning information. I also thought it would give some great footage of the cars going down the track. This short video is my first one that I put together pretty quickly tonight. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU_MUFrBmSc&...

Re: Setting up my Test Track
I really appreciate all the help and suggestions. This is what I love about this site is that everyone is here to help and brainstorm to figure out a problem. I am using the middle of the three holes that came predrilled for the finish line. I messed around with adjusting the angle of the start and ...

Re: Setting up my Test Track
I am using the switch that came with it that mounts under on the gate. No laser. I am going to play with the slope angle tonight.

Re: Setting up my Test Track
I did not get the laser gate when I ordered the timer. My wife may get the idea that I am getting too obsessed with Pinewood Derby cars. Do you think it matters that this is set up on carpet? I will try to figure out the angle and I am sure that will help a little. Otherwise I will do what Speedster...

Re: Setting up my Test Track
Thanks for shedding some light on it. How would I change the angle of the slope? I looked at the directions and it shows the slope to be 26 deg. I would like to be able to compare my times with others to compare my builds. Also it does help my ego when the car runs under 3 seconds.
