You're not that bad Stan... not bad at all!

But that 1 3/4" minimum width between wheels rule:

Re: Two Wheeled car Rail Riding is it possible?

I would be interested in seeing a car of this type that also meets an "all 4 wheels on the track" rule. So, all four wheels would be on the same side of the car. Rail riding probably couldn't be effectively executed, but it would be one that would throw judges for a loop. Maybe I will att...

Re: Two Wheeled car Rail Riding is it possible?

Thanks for participating in the discussion Stan.
You must admit it's a pretty clever idea that stretches the rules a bit!
and it might be a fun idea to play around with and I can't wait to get in the basement and see what I can come up with. Thanks for your explanations into how this is done.

Yes. Trick is to (1) make it survive the braking section, and (2) keep the wheels riding on their edges.
Now: Stan, that's a very good way of putting it.

I do hope Randy will follow up on his two wheeled car in an up-comeing news letter.

Two Wheeled car Rail Riding is it possible?

If we look at the method of rail rideing by Jay Wiles,& his son Jesse. On how this method works for a three wheeled car. We see the rail riding method works. But if we look at the Two Wheeled car by Joe Tomelleri's. And how he balances the weight in the car to run on two wheels with rail riding ...

Re: Looking to make a pinewood derby car for BSA centennial

:goodpost: Here is a good tip! As a general rule of thumb. If you are new to the pinewood derby and unsure of the offical rules. Don't just go by any set of rules you just found on the internet. Or those just out of the box. Get your pack rules from the race chairman or race offical. Get to know the...
