3 years ago I bought 12 of the vintage kits from BetaCrafts (sold 6 to a PWD friend). If you call them you can order what ever quantity you want.

Re: Ok- so whats the consensus with the New Wheel Step?

Since our rules don't allow altering the wheels except for a light sanding on the OD, we can't technically remove the step on the outer hub. Has anyone tried a lower negative cant on the rears?? Maybe 1.5 degrees?? That may be counterproductive since the 2.5 degree angle was to lift the outer edge o...

Re: New Tool !

Well, I like my platform on the drill press, I can just adjust that to give me toe in or toe out. No shims. however, there seems to be a limit. After about 1 to 1.5 degrees. I have trouble. So sometimes I still have to put a really mild bend into the axle. Are you using a carbide drill?? They are s...

I use surplus carbide insert I got from work, but add the last 0.1 ounce with lead tape.

Re: rail rider question - no dominant front wheel

We used the rail rider tool and the rear axles are bent 2.5 and fronts 1.5. Are both front wheels set up with the bend in the same direction? I would use positive cant on the right front wheel (axle pointing down) and negative cant on the left wheel (axle pointing up), guaranteeing the right wheel ...

Specifics?? Positive camber is proven faster. Have you done any track testing?

Another way is to use a white "sharpie" marker.

Re: Wheel Wobble

I do exactly the same except I use a .096 polished gage pin. Does that leave much room for the graphite - how are you getting it in there ? Is this after reaming ? Hmm... Wait a minute! I use a .096 pin to burnish the bore to smooth out any imperfections before polishing. (No reaming.) Then Doc Job...
