Re: Blocks out of alignment in the BSA boxes
The pro-slot people can be pretty buggy. I ordered a block that was drilled and cut a slot with a hacksaw so you could see the nails and this was OK for my pack (BTW this was in Leesburg, VA just across the road from Ashburn). We did not go to districts but I am sure they are strict there. Noskills

Re: Which of the rules "in the box" prevents use of lathe?
I wrote my district rules. I allow for modication of the inner and outer hub and "light sanding" of the wheel. I then go on to define that light sanding will result in a wheel diameter >1.17 inches (and I will bring the gage). Additional requirements are no lath turning and no removing mat...

Maybe 4-5 hours. We do 3 at a time so averaged it probably less.

I used Teflon nail polish. Let it harded and sand the rub graphite into it. Too lazy to insert a drawer slide.

I love the hot rod Lincoln. Was that some copper over the tungston canopy? Thanks for sharing the career photo. Time for a trophy case.

Re: 1968 Citroen DS
Well the car served it's purpose. I have it it my friend the classic car collector and told him if he sponsored our district race he could race it there. He gave us the. Obey and decided not to race it so it wouldn't get banged up. Now I have the awesome memories of building it, these pictures and y...

Re: Sponsors at Districts?
I can give you all feedback now. I asked about 10-12 businesses. Loews have me $100. Home Depot gave me a Dremell as a door prize. Got a gift card for frozen yogurt and some spray paint. Then I made the Citroen that I posted for a friend and he gave us $200. My pack is going to donate the trophies a...

Re: Rail rider question
Wd13,
Try getting a wooden yard stick and gluing it to a 4 foot shelf board to test your rail riding. It's what I do. Also are you going thinner than last year? 0.5 oz of wood 0.5 oz wheels and axels and 4 oz of tungston? I like the 5/8th CoM. Good luck.
