Re: Team Noskills 2016 Final Derby Line-up
I know how you feel. This is our fifth year as well, and I was thinking last year was gonna be it for the PWD. Luckily, my yougest decided that he wanted to be in scouts too, so as fate would have it, we have four more years, as he's a Tiger this year. My Boy Scout wants to keep building for the sib...

Re: Homemade Concentricity Gauge
Thanks!
Hoping Derby Evolution. They offer one as a $10 option for their gauge, so hoping they sell it on it's own. Did't get a chance to call today, but will tomorrow.

Re: Homemade Concentricity Gauge
Almost 4 years later, and this post is still helping derby Dads & boys alike. I made mine from an extra car block for extra size/sturdiness (in little hands), and set the #41 pin @ .040, and then made another hole & set the #42 pin @ .060. I will be ordering the flat end for the gauge as wel...

Re: Minor weight question...
Yes the tungsten canopy was very easy to use and my Son built his cars with them when he was a Cub Scout. We were able to get 5/8 and 1/2 inch coms mounting the canopy like your first picture (perpendicular with the CL). We would get the body down to about 1/2 ounce and use tungsten putty under the...

Re: Minor weight question...
I have not asked any one person specifically. All of my search engine questions kept bringing me back here, until a point where I just started searching this forum alone. I am uber impressed with the fountain of knowledge and complete understanding that I've found here, and was hoping to attract the...

Minor weight question...
Searched & searched, but couldn't find the answer to a couple questions regarding weight placement. This is our first year trying a new design, and since it's my second scout, I felt like taking it as an opportunity to "up our speed game". My oldest of two boys, started as a Tiger, and...

Hello & thanks for the add. 5th year Scout Dad here trying to improve our game, and I've spent the last three days combing this site non stop. Awesome info to say the least! I do have a few unanswered questions that I'll be posting/asking later, that I haven't been able to find the answers to in...
