Correct. Their timer interface does provide times to race management software, so those can be displayed via a projection system.

Re: 1932 Ford Model B Pickup Truck - 3D Printed
If you go to the "Thing Files" link for that model, you can see all of the part files. There is a STL file for a hub cap. Not sure that will work with a Pinewood Derby kit wheel, as is, but could be modified to do so. You would just need some design software, like Tinkercad to tweak the de...

BestTrack's New Timer Model
BestTrack has launched a new timer model. This timer is singled sided (finish order and times display on the one side, but no display on the other side). That does bring down the cost compared to their double sided timer. Both models are supported by the GrandPrix Race Manager software. http://www.b...

Re: Looking for Track Rental in southern California
When I say "rent" I do mean that the owner would also come along, set up, stay, and take it down. Sorry if that caused confusion. No problem. Certainly, that is the better scenario for the track owner to make sure that it gets setup/tore down properly, doesn't get damaged and everything g...

Re: Looking for Track Rental in southern California
I've helped with lots of corporate races over the years, but unfortunately, my track and I are in Colorado. If you'd like some tips on putting on the race, send me a PM. Personally, I don't like the idea of renting or lending out a track. Someone should always go with the track setup to make sure th...

No More Space Derby for BSA?
I heard from one of my software customers that BSA will no longer be carrying the space derby kits. Can anyone confirm?
This customer was intending to substitute a model rocketry race. Basically, the longest rocket to remain in the air wins.

Re: First Round Qualifier Followed by Round 2 and 3 Perfect N
I've never run a derby with a finish gate that provided times (just finish order). But the point of Perfect N scheduling is to make the competition as balanced as possible for a points-based scoring system using finish order. It really doesn't do much if you're basing everything on times. Well, the...
