Re: The Big Day
Why in the world do they do cumulative times, my gripe with that is if your going to do it that way, run each car at least twice down each lane, and each car the equal amount of times. Period.

Re: Opinions of the group
Greeting fellow PWD junkies. I have a question that I'd like some input on because as someone involved I don't trust my own bias. We just did our district race yesterday and my son did exactly as expected and as we've done in years past, 2nd in his group. We don't go to districts with the expectati...

Re: The Big Day
You are in good spirits. We swapped track lengths. And I am freaking tired sorry for the short response. I hope we all can continue to support each other on our builds throughout the year. I know for one I will be starting early..... no doubt. My son he has the sawdust in his veins now. And im all f...

Re: The Big Day
Thanks Vit K I appreciate that, yeah some head scratching stuff... The biggest beef I hace right now is they are just stacking a bunch of these cars ontop of each other in a small bin, anyone else ever see that? Is it pretty common!? I understand the large number of cars but I just worry about those...

The Big Day
Hey all, So today is the big day, DISTRICTS!!! So last night we had weigh-ins. I have to say I am glad we did in fact go that route as I would hat to stand in line with 2 nervous boys today before the race and deal with that. My gripe, as my first year is this. During inspection one of the cubmaster...

Re: Best axles for a "by the rules car"?
I suppose thats why they call it "Hater Sauce"! Anyways.. for me, i wont be using it. Seems I should have found this board before purchasing such things. So my axels came out great with a wet pumice sanding and graphite barnishing all done on a lathe, I decided against the grooved axels I...

Re: Best axles for a "by the rules car"?
I hear ya, from what I hear is its a wet application that goes dry. But it says no need for graphite, so I dont know which one will give an edge. It will be a gametime decision. Anyways. The stock division at worlds was running 3 seconds, now as speedster said in a different post, it seems to mean n...

Re: Best axles for a "by the rules car"?
2.6 for a graphite car? Geez I thought my times were decent, must be doing something wrong, im trying to have my tiger do most of the work, explaing the polishing part is a little coomplicated for a young tiger. Anyways, I decided to take the axels to the lathe and run some grooves in them, also got...

Re: Best axles for a "by the rules car"?
Well im a sitting duck on that one this year, but Ill certainly look into it for next year, I worry about those "axel polishing" methods that tend to not intermix well with graphite, as I dont know if a cubmasyer is just going to start putting dust on everybodys axels to test for the cars ...
