Good looking car! If it runs as good as it looks, you guys are a "shoe in."

Doc,
Good Luck tomorrow! I think that you have outline everything and thought of all the possible place as to maximize the speed at which this car will run. Good Job on the 4 runs with the Krytox.

Thanks Jim and all for kind words. I can only thank you all. The membership at DT has been like a personal private tutor in the art of pinewood performance. We were good students, did our homework, studied long, tested well, now we wait and see how we do on our final exam.pwdarchitect wrote:Doc,

I would love to see more pics of that thing, from several different angles. It looks like a very nice car. The paint job is nice. I'm so basic when it comes to paint.
Re: Districts tomorrow
Gimpy thanks. There are additional pics in photo section. My son did the paint, I helped with prep. Its metal cast, Mike Doyle gets the credit on this one. It is a two part process in rattle cans. Very easy to use. Zinzer primer two coats sanded off, then spray one thin base coat allow to dry and fade in top.

The learning, trying, testing together with your boy is where the real meaning is in this activity. If you do well tomorrow, that is just icing on an already very satisfying (and personal and memorable) cake. Having said that, we do have a real affinity for icing!doct1010 wrote:I can only thank you all. The membership at DT has been like a personal private tutor in the art of pinewood performance.
