Applying forced air induction principle to derby car design

Post by pack529holycross »

I don't know if this is even possible at such a small scale, but as I was reducing weight in my sons car we unadvertently ended up with a full bodied car that is completely hollowed out from front to back. As I was thinking about the principle of inducting air into a space of decreasing diameter, which opens up on the back end, and how that air increases speed coming out... I was wondering if that would apply at all to such a small scale "induction" path. I guess the question is does a car have any performance increases if the air travelling "through" it is directed through an induction passage narrowing in the center " thinking hourglass ".

If SO.. I wonder if this violates the rule that gravity can be the only source of propulsion? lol
