No center guide strip

No center guide strip

OK, Our pack has a standard 4 lane wood track with a center guide strip. But, the problem is that if we go on to Districts, they have a plastic track (thinking it's a "best" track) with NO center guide strip/rail, just lane separators. What's the best way to setup a car to run on a track without center guide rails? Setting our Pack car to RR, but what to do for a possible District run? Re-align to run dead on straight? Or will RR still work?
