Offset car steering

Post by quadad »

I just have an itch to build an offset (parent) car this year. I have not seen a clear signal from people who have done this how they have set up the steering.

Our rules are 4 wheels down and turning. So my first question is, given the strong weight shift to one side, is a 4-wheel offset car practical or possible ?

Secondly, if anyone has done just this, how did you set up the steering ? Is the offset (heavy weight) side off the rail or on, or ... ? Maybe running straight would be best ?
