drag?

Post by reg819 »

To shift more weight back I had my son rout out part of the bottom center section of his car. With using Stan's CM calculator the CM went from 1.1 to 0.87. Our question is should the routed section be covered? Will it cause any drag that would be a concern?

We both have started Dr. Jobe Cub lectures.
May even try canting the wheels to RR.

A thin wood panel covering the cavity would be slightly beneficial. Avoid materials like paper that will tend to "flap in the breeze" or vibrate, since that flapping is a major energy loss source.

What about things like packing tape or aluminum tape? Or even business cards? Would they flap or otherwise be more of a detriment than a benefit?
