My boy earned a 7th place in Bears today out of 47 cars today at our Council race. The difference between 1st and 2nd was .0008 after combining the times from 6 heats. That's crazy. In the Wolves standings ahead of us there was even a tie for 4th place. That has to be extremely rare. I haven't seen a timer take it to 4 digits before.
You guys were patient as I tried to learn what makes these cars tick and answered what you maybe thought were some odd or trivial questions. My boy said, "Thanks Dad for helping me build this fast car". That was worth all the time we spent at the drill press, with the handsaw, dremel and tuning on kitchen table. I'm excited to see what he comes up with for a design next year.
Thank you all! See you next November when we get next season's kits.
Thanks to everyone

Re: Thanks to everyone
Do I have pictures? Thanks or asking. When we got home from last years Pack race and his "missile" car (seen in last pic) was a dud my boy drew up a pic of what he wanted his next car to look like. It was a rectangle with BSA cut into it. He stuck with that plan 10 months later when we built this car.
