Custom Wheels?

Post by gpraceman »

I'm putting out a feeler for anyone that can make up some custom set of wheels. For our race next month, I am going for design and would like some wheels that better go with the design. I need someone with a lathe that can make me a set of wheels out of delrin, HDPE or similar. I'm willing to pay, as long as it won't blow my budget.

Thanks,

Randy

I'd offer randy, but sounds outside of my skill set. I only do o.d.

I found some wheels that might work for my design at a hobby store. The problem is each wheel has a bearing pressed into it and then a solid axle connects a pair of wheels. The spacing between the wheels is not sufficient to fit the track. I'm hoping that I will be able to separate them enough to get them to fit without damaging the bearings.

If these work, it is a good thing that our Outlaw division has a 1 lb weight limit, as these wheels, with the axles, weigh in at 5.1 oz.
