I borrowed that photo from another site. To answer your question about weight balance, there is no one definitive correct weight distribution. Some builders find better speed weighting more on the DFW side, some completely balanced, and others the NDFW side.

I believe the most common when not centered is toward the DFW side, keeping all the weight in the "triangle" made from the rear axles and the DFW.

Those that get enough track time move tuning weight from one side to the other to find a sweet spot for each car. Each car is different but when building a lot of cars a builder can usually figure out which side works best for how they make their cars.

If you're only building cars for scout season you will likely not ever get into that deep into tuning your cars. You won't find too many scout cars tuned that much either aside from events like Mid America Derby
