Verry Happy with Freedom Track

Post by Watch-out-for-that-frog »

Verry Happy with our 48' Alloy Freedom Track

We did a race for pack 512 in La Canada today set up at 10am 44 heats in under an hour the track lane stats are too close to call. What are normal lane stats? We are withing thousants over all 6 lanes at 48'?

This is the 5th outting this season with the track it is beyond fantastic!

Next wek we are doing a milti district race in Santa Anita California they expect 300+ Cub Scouts.

Frogger,

Here are the track stats from last years Race. Race was run on a 32 foot old wood 4 lane track. Cars that did not cross the finish line were given the time of 6.0 sec (hence the max).

I am considering purchasing a 40 or 48 Ft. aluminum Freedom track. Could you post your stats? I'd like to see how close the races are with your 48 footer...to see if the longer track is really better with aluminum.

It is better to exclude these data points from the stats as these will skew the average and standard deviation.

I would like to see them as well. We also have the 48' anodized aluminum Freedom track. I did notice that when we had it set up at 32', the cars ran almost to the end of the 'brake'. When we set it up at 48', we only had one car to race, but it only made it a little over the length of the car onto the brake before it stopped. There was about 1-2" of space between the back of the car and the end of the track. I have some pictures and some video if anyone is interested.
