styrofoam Cup for Sail

Has anyone here used a styrofoam cup for a sail? We are building a cat and if you cut the foam cup in half it appears to make a good sail. Any advice?
I have seen a fairly fast boat using ½ a Dixie cup… the styrofoam should be lighter? I’d weight them both and go with the one with lower weight…
it should make a nice sail though!
