Badder Ladder - Realized

Post by mclewis_13 »

You might remember my racer from last year. I enjoyed a mix of design and speed. Well, the results were too much design and not enough speed.
I was taken to the mat by another adult, actually quite a few, I think I landed MAYBE in the top 5.

So this year, I went for the nuclear option. Zero design...lots of wood removal...lots of tungsten added. I cannot wait to unleash this beast on my race group this year. I am pleased to introduce "Frownie Points"

Lookin' good! That's a lot of tricky cutting for your ladder car...way more than I've got the patience for, haha!

I hate having the play the Game of Life, but I love your wife's car.

Also the Pokemon Paint job is super cool.

Thank you!

After finding another post, by Whoda (cherry wood w/ balsa), I didn't do it right. I left too much wood on it, and not enough room for Tungsten. I will actually have to glue 3 more cubes on top to get to 5 oz.

My wife's car was pretty tricky, it is completely hollow on the inside. She of course did the paint job and it looks amazing.

The Pokemon paint job was me, I have never attempted anything like it before. I found a photo, and did a paint by numbers. It is freehand, but i had a good picture to go off of.
