Not finished with the complete Rig yet, but here is a picture of one of the Cargo Box trailers that we are building for an upcoming league Semi Truck race in October.
One of the organizers of the race created a logo to mark the occasion, and I did my typical "Homespun Decal" routine (Cut and Paste into Powerpoint, manipulate size to fit, print to white paper, use watered down white glue for adhesive...). The logo he created actually had a white background, I played with some format changes to get the black background version you see here.
The white frame (just not painted yet) under the trailer is where most of the added weight will reside (in a pocket between the 2 sets of rear axles). The Cargo Box can be removed and replaced with a Flat Bed, Lumber Carrier, etc. other "loads" that we are building.
Below are some detail pics showing the hinges that we utilized for the working rear doors, as well as the removable roof that aids in aligning the pins that hold the various loads in place.
Enjoy!
