Was the car actually propelled by the propeller?

I finally got some video uploaded on this car. Here it's going against the fastest cars that my sons and I have built. As you can see it gets quite a jump even right off the start.

Make sure to get some good use out of it in its intended configuration before gutting it.

My only question was...after picking myself off the floor laughing, did you file that thing IFR or VFR?
Were you wearing a flight suit and who cleared that thing to land? That was great to see the blur screaming under the finish..LOL ;)

I let my older son fly solo on that flight, while I was in the tower directing traffic and video taping. No flight suit (unless jeans and a t-shirt count). VFR definitely

Randy,

I absolutely LOVE it!

But doesn't that classify as a "moving part"?

Looks like the Screaming Mimi made MaxV's latest issue of Pinewood Derby Times.

Now, MaxV is carrying a Propeller Car Kit. So, we'll have these things buzzing around a lot of outlaw races this season.

I hope those who do them, keep us in the loop.

The one I built was remote controlled also, but was only as fast as our regular pinewood derby car. I need more prop. But I used two mini props.

The added construction, I was worried it would go off the track and get damaged. but it stayed on the track decent. some better wheels are called for also.

Now, here is another cool prop car. It's a pretty funny video too.

Though, I don't know about the claim to the "world's fastest". I think Screaming Mimi would give it a run for its money. They are about an hour North of me. Maybe We need to do a local prop car race and see.

The really cool thing about that one is that it isn't obvious that it's a propeller car. It looks like a design-oriented car that doesn't stand a chance in the race itself, until it beats the other cars by several feet...
