The cab, sleeper, and fenders are balsa. The front bumper is pine left over from cutting out the back end. The inner set of rear tires are raised. Dowels used for the tanks and stacks. Sewing pins for the clearance lights.
This was a turning point car, in that this time he gave all the directions. I sawcut some of the pieces, but only to what dimensions he told me (yes, we did do the cab and fuel tanks twice). He assembled it, shaped the fenders and painted it with no direct supervision.
