Do you still have to have the photo on another site to have it appear in the body of a post? I see some posts that have a link to another site with the photo, and some posts where the photo just shows in the post.
How do I do this?

Can I post Images?
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed).
Note: Images need to be in good taste and should not be annoying (jumping, flashing, etc.)

If you look at the first "Sticky" post in this catagory, "How to post a photo", you will find some information on how to post a photo.
First, you must find a place to host your image. I recommend:

This site provides free anonymous image hosting. At the main page, simply click on the "Browse" button and locate the photo on your computer that you want to post. Next, you have the option of adding some words in the "Tags" field that would aid someone searching for related photos. "pinewood derby car" could go in this field. Next, you click on the "Upload Now" button and your photo will be uploaded. You will be taken to a page which has the photo and some information under the heading, "Share This Image". The information you need to copy is under, "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards". Copy the string there in the form of:
This is the code that you paste into your message to display the photo.
It is really that easy. I think that I will add these instructions to the Sticky so others can benefit as well.
