OOOPS!!

Post by Pack 200 Steve »

This happened to me a few years ago. YES there was a soundtrack that went with it, but I can't repeat it when kids are listening

Had that happen to my oldest son's car with their original pack. The start gate operator let go of the gate too soon (spring loaded closed type design) and the start pin caught the car underneath and launched it. Fortunately, I was standing close enough to the track to catch it. :whew: The next year, we changed out the start gate for a better design (spring loaded open type).

The shadows cast by the cars seem a wee bit out of place here ;)

I have a tough time at magic shows too. It's my curse to be a staunch member of the skeptic party.

This is probably one of a series of race director recurring nightmares

Upon closer examination, I don't think those are shadows. IMO, it looks more like some form of prolonged exposure on the film.

To me, it looks like the shadows caused by a camera flash that is above and to the right of the lens. There are similar shadows for other objects in the photo.
