Smokey and the Bandit pinewood derby semi truck

Post by whodathunkit »

While surfing the web I ran across this tuck.

Rat's.. just when I thought I had an
In this pinehead of mine to make this very tuck
someone has made it.

What a nice job they did on this semi truck.
Can't say I like what Snowman is hauling.
But i have alway's liked the movie and the truck.
Here is the web site:
http://www.talloncc.com/projects/satbsemi1.html" target="_blank

I also ran across this web site:
That has a few rules for semi truck racing.
http://www.troopole97.com/Cubs/tdpacket.pdf" target="_blank

Well it look's like i'll have to find a different semi truck to build
sometime soon.

Good ideas seldom occur to only one person at a time... it's a question of who builds it first. Glad to have an example to start from. My biggest worry is/was getting sufficiently high resolution trailer mural art to print good decals!

I am glad to see that someone else made it... and that won't stop me! I have... shall we say... ideas... for an outlaw Snowman truck. Thanks for the link!

We ran an outlaw (basically no rules) class this year for the first time, which was fun, but the few entries broke rules like they were supposed to, but weren't fast. (One den leader built a car out of an A-10 GAU-8 dummy round (fired casing with an aluminum dummy bullet in it - cool. The bullet nose overhung the front of the car so much it would rub the guide rail in the transition curve - whoops!)
