Our 2013 Lineup
Here's our 2013 lineup!
Here's how the design decisions came in from the kids:
Dad, I want to make a police car, Dad, I want a fast car that looks like this (waves hand in an arc), Dad, I want to make a platter of cupcakes. Ok.... wait what?
I give you, the Police Car!. the Swhoosh car! my Flaming Arrow! and the Platter of (lead filled) Cupcakes!
Tomorrow, I'll be sending out an email to the Pack explaining why everyone else was beat by a platter of cupcakes! Totally was not expecting that!

Will we get a copy of that explanation here at DT?
Looks like your kids got what they asked for. Those cupcakes look good enough to eat... but I don't care for lead filling, prefer icing.

Re: Our 2013 Lineup
No one else in the pack ran extended wheel base. Our district rules specifically state that the orig slots do not have to be used and may be moved. So yes, extended wheelbase DOES make that much of a difference. I suspect next year we won't have a single Scout using the stock wheel slots...chromegsx wrote: Will we get a copy of that explanation here at DT?

The finish order was
Police Car (Wolf- First Den, Pack and Overall)
Purple Swhoosh Car (Open Class First)
Copper Flaming Arrow (Open Class Second)
Cupcake Platter (Open Class Third)

Yes a family sweep!
To all those "tan shirts" and adults out there who purposefully don't polish their own axles or make sure their own cars have weights, that's a safe place to be. Two of my kids beat me despite my best efforts on my own car.. Humble pie!

Thanks! The cupcake car got dropped by the car handler after the second run but thanks to the canned foam cupcakes, the blow was cushioned!
