Too cool! As usual, your cars are a work of art.

SPEEDBUGGY,
Do you Boy's in RENO,NV.

Have ( "Extra Rule Sets" ) That read a little something like this?

For example :
Cars shall contain an accessible closeable compartment for adding or removing weight.
No external weights; and no weight that is taped, glued or otherwise stuck on the car is allowed..
No tools should be required to add or remove weight.

I have seen a few extra rule sets that read like the example above..
So I just have to ask you about the extra rule sets though.

It's a work of art SPEEDBUGGY!
I never seen an closeable weight compartment quite like what is seen on the Chaparral. ;)

The engine crome are recycled modle kit parts. The engine block is a scrap of wood. The redlines are a vinal decal I found on e-bay.Very hard to apply. I ruined a few trying to get them off the vinal paper.

Hoda,We don't Have rules like that in our derby. I dont thik it is fair. Some pepole may not have the tools or skills to follow that rule .Pinewood Derby should be for fun and improving your skills each year not excluding pepole.

Well said.. SPEEDBUGGY.

There are Rules..
And then there are extra rule sets for different clubs or different types of pinewood derby events.

I seen this ( extra rule set example) talked about.. in this link:
http://www.instructables.com/id/Bob-omb ... t/?lang=es" target="_blank
Thought it was a strange rule set example to be building pwd cars under.
