You gotta make a Fed Ex truck to race the UPS truck. So it is written . . .againstthegrain wrote:Scrollsawer,

....So let it be done. I'm a big 10 Commandments fan. I might have to put together a FedEx truck with raw wheels and Axles and race it against BigBrown and post the video ....DerbyAddicted wrote:

AGT,
It is well documented that the path to decrepitude is more smoothly paved by retirement. I suggest you come out of retirement and enter a UPS truck in the Mid-America Derby in May, and I will enter a FedEx truck. It would be pretty fun to see those two going down the track. I'm not suggesting this from the viewpoint of "Throwing down the gauntlet". I just think it would be a hoot to see the two going down the track together, preferably side-by-side during a couple of heats. Might even make sense to establish some 'stock car' base rules for the build to make the two trucks essentially the same in their size/shape/weight, etc.
You would think the two Corporations would see the photos of this race as a fun way to make some Press.
I'm game if you're game!

Maybe if you talk to Greg/Xanthrum he can make special arrangements for a UPS vs. FedEx faceofff.

I have all my pinewood derby stuff packed for shipping. For sale on this site, link below.
So I will have to decline.
The UPS truck belongs to my kid, and I would not risk shipping it to a race.
