New Pinewood & Blastcar builds

Just thought I'd post some of my new builds. I had gone about a year without working on a derby car, but my brothers' troop is doing blastcars this year, so I dusted off my tools and got to work.

I started this one about a year ago, but finally finished this in early fall:



I had bought two kits, so I decided to build another. I used the below Hot Wheels car as the basis for the design:






It turned out well, but my coworker made some suggestions for how he thought it it could look.


I don't have any more blastcar kits lying around, so I used an unfinished pinewood derby body to bring it to life:



And for good measure, here are a few more derby cars I finished recently:
