Umm. That car looks good enough to eat.
Cool idea with the Smooth on!
Will you cast shapes, or cast a block and then carve it?

I'm not sure. I've never done molds before or anything like it.Laserman wrote:Umm. That car looks good enough to eat.

I actually will have to do some reading.
What I undo so far. Which is not alot.
You can either. Make a mold by covering a shape. It's a different type of resin. And it peals off and keeps it shape. And then you use that to fill your resin to make that shape.
which is maybe the way to go.
The other way that I seen. Was to take like plaster of Paris or something else and cover your already shaped fender . Converted with a light oil or something so it does not stick. And make the mold that way. And remove fender then use that cavity to fill up with the feather lite.
Likely most costly way is a machined cavity. That would be perfect and just poor into that. That's costly tho.

Very nice looking. Question: Are those adjustment grooves in the rear axle heads?
Re: Nellie faye / Mod
Yes. Not that I'm using them for that. I'm broke and using what I have available. I usually use them for rr right front.Vitamin K wrote:Very nice looking. Question: Are those adjustment grooves in the rear axle heads?
But I got to make do with what I have. So they are not there for tuning. but could be. If I had bad axle hole alignment or was using bent axles.
