Finally!!!!
Boys Council race was today. After 4 years of scouting and a very fortunate appearance at council every year we finally came home with the first place trophy in his last year. And how fitting it was. The boy that has seemed to be our nemesis from the very first year ended up racing my son in the final round. Son was undefeated and the other boy had 1 loss. Other boy was in lane that was obviously the fastest and won. They switched lanes and ran again and my son won. Wow! Also my nephew, who I helped realign his car last week, won first in Webelos 1 also.

The red one is the winner. I will try to post pictures of all 4 of his scout cars as well as accompanying hardware. 19 trophies in all over the last 4 years.

Re: Finally!!!!
It will be there in June, although I doubt it will be competetive with your stuff. The wheels are fairly stock, hubs not coned and diameter only sanded round on my drill press not lathe turned. Axles are stock BSA, straightened with a pro press, heads not tapered. We will send it to see how it does and then try to make a better one using what we learned with this one and make next one more radical (ex. coned hubs, tapered heads on axles, and better wheels.)WarpSpeedINC wrote:Great job WW!!
