Staging the car

I staged the cars during our Pack PWD. I centered them on the rail and pulled their tires out towards the heads. Not sure if that's the right or best way, but each car got the same treatment including my son's.

For the District PWD, the boys stage their onw cars (which I think should be more fun for them...although I must say I didn't want to give up my spot at the Pack PWD ). So, what do I tell my son to do? What's the best way to stage a three wheel RR with the DFW on the left?

I stage the DFW about a 1/32" off the rail then the rears/rest of the car straight off that point.
