vinyl cutter.

Post by sporty »

I have a vinyl cutter and many of our cars, had vinyl decals / stripes on them over the years.

It has saved me lots of money, doing it my self. I have a few designs more seen on cars these days. But often I dont mention it. Because I never felt anyonewould want to buy them and often I run into people wantiing custom stuff and some of that can take me many hours and I loose time / money.

Thats why a few years ago, i was glad when a fe were selling them for a few dollars. Im not so sure they are any more or not.

Mine new was 800 dollars back in the day. and its a roland stx7. which can only cut 6 inch tall and about 4 feet long.

I actually think they have came down in price, back then a 21nch model war around $2,700. and 12inch one was going for around $1,200.

They have came down in price. and tons of people now own them.

What I always wanted what a color vinyl plotter. back then they were selling for over $10,000. they have came down in price also.

But sadly, I dont have much desire anymore for one. I recently tried to get my 17 year old into learning and cutting stuff. Told him he could try doing some things and maybe make a few bucks. He has not done much, but some to tinker with.

Sorry but that is misinformation. Vinyl cutters are cheaper & more available now then they ever have been.
